2021 VHF Photography Pre-Registration

2021 Photography Contest -Open to all ages.
Location: SWVA Higher Education Center
We have eight different categories to enter for VHF 2021 Photography Contest. Entry Fee = $5/per photo.
- Contemporary Issues: Single picture documenting cultural, political or social issues affecting individuals or societies.
- Environment: Single picture documenting human impact, positive or negative, on the environment.
- General News: Single picture reporting on news topics and their aftermaths.
- Nature: Single picture showing flora, animals in natural habitat or landscapes in their natural state.
- Portraits: Single picture, individual or a group either in observed or posed portraits.
- Sports: Single picture that captures individual or a team sport.
- Cell Phone Category: Single picture of the Environment, General News, Nature, Portraits, or Sports taken with a cell phone.
- Youth Category: Single picture of the Environment, General News, Nature, Portraits, or Sports for photographers under 18.
*Image requirements: Images must be mounted on 11" x 14" foam board. Matting is not required.
There will be a 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place ribbon awarded for each category. Judging will take place on July 20th. Winners will be announced on July 23rd. Ribbons will also be placed on the winning images on July 23rd. If your images are for sale you must have a price tag on the image with your information on the back of the tag. Images will remain on display until August 1st. August 1st all images must be picked up between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. We are excited to add youth to the main JFA show. "Youth" is defined as a person age 8-16 as of July 23, 2021. All other entrants will be considered to be adults.
